And, many gun shop owners aren’t aware of the adjustable gas system on FALs sad to say. CENTURY L1A1, FAL RECEIVER CODES i have been using century receivers for many years and finding out information on a particular receiver is difficult at best. And frankly speaking as regards their AKs, they can royally screw an AK up, which is indeed saying something when historically speaking AKs are one of the toughest and most reliable of the " battle rifles", not anywhere near the most accurate but decent to good ones are literally "as tough as a shovel". Some folks simply aren’t aware that there is an adjustable gas system on the FAL style of rifles, and when they change ammo, and the gun starts to malfunction, and not kick out the empty brass, or feed the next round they get rid of their guns. I'll add something here, you've already got this one and I'm really not trying to be harsh but in the future you'd be better off to avoid anything coming from Century Arms, sometimes the money you save up front is less than the money you have to put into a given unit from them to get it to run right, as I stated it's a crapshoot with CAI, you might get lucky and get something that runs right straight from the box, some folks do, but most don't when getting something from CAI. How much have you put down range so far and have their been any FTFs or FTEs? Keep in mind that CAI has a less than stellar reputation and there have been a great many problems with their Hesse receiver FALs, you may however get lucky and have picked one up that was built on an Imbel receiver.If it's the latter ( Imbel) it might be worth keeping, if it's the Hesse receiver you may have a can of worms on your hands. Most of 'em are " kit rifles" built by Century and as such are a crapshoot as far as what you've got and how it will shoot, if it's got the cast Hesse receiver you may end up unsatisfied.If you end up with the typical CAI FAL problems get back to us here and we'll do what we can to help.
